Hi Edward, thanks for the heads up on this thread. Looks like you have many issues going on that don't necessarily have to do with my problem, although, I will say that I managed to figure out (sort of) what was causing the stop errors. It got so bad, that I was unable to boot in anything other than safe mode. In SM, I removed most programs, some manually, and reinstalled Nortons to stay protected. I noticed that when I downloaded Yahoo! Instant Messenger Beta with Voice version, I immediately began seeing the deadly blue screen stop errors again. Upon talking to Yahoo! support, they state it is still in the testing phase and is not supported (Hello?!?...nice) I downloaded the older version and so far so good. I am reinstalling programs one at a time over a period of time to see if anything else could have caused the errors, but so far I'm leaning towards the messenger.
Not sure if this helps anyone, but I found it extremely interesting! :whistling:
Thanks again and will continue to watch your thread.

Hello there BREE

Yes i have some issues but they are getting resolved. Kieth is great.
Its the stop errors im concerned about though. The other problems
are annoying. But i will look into Yahoo, Because problems with blue
screen started after they ran some sort of maintenance on April 9 2006
That was a Sunday. Now i cant play Yahoo Pool. I get this white pop-up.
It freezes my screen to the point i cant play anymore. I've tried a few
times but no can do. Just check too see if your blue screen problem started
after April 9. it could my imagination but i look back at that date myself.
I havent got to the point of removing all my programs just the ones i
dont need. Well that's it for now.

With hotfixes, if you uninstall them singly, you will know whether it was the reason, if you uninstall lots, it could have been anything

If you still have a problem with the printer, the UK site has a link for talking live to a technician, the advantage is that they usually stick with it until it prints something

Have a look at the Epson site for your location to see if they have e-talk

If you run Windows repair it removes SP2 and is easily the best way to do that, when you get to re-installing the updates, leave SP2, though I don't think that's the problem

You can use this guide to repair XP

Possibly, you will need to boot the PC and keep tapping the delete key until the PC enters set up. Change the boot order to CD ROM Drive then hard drive, press F10 then press enter, load the XP CD then type Y then press enter, as it reboots, look for press any key to load from CD, press enter

You will need the XP product key to complete this

XP Repair Install

Windows XP repair feature won't delete your data, installed programs, personal information, or settings. It just repairs the operating system

After running XP Repair you will need to install all Windows Updates

Microsoft Update
