HI JSntgRvr,

I think the main problem lies somewhere in the boot sector of my system as i have been getting problems during the installation of the server, and have been almost daily reinstalling the OS. Moreover, even after installing AV and on restart i still get infected files. Moreover, Ewidos would terminate unexpectedly during the scan process.
QWuestion is, is there and SW i can use to scan the boot sector of my system?

All Antivirus Programs check the MBR for viruses.

If you are reinstalling the OS, are you re-formating the drive? If you re-format, nothing will survive in the drive.

Yes I have been formatting the hard drive. Moreover, I have not reinstalled/formatted the OS once but every single day for the past week. Moreover, viruses are being launched eventhough no SW has been installed in the OS. The system was scanned by Panda, found about 200 viruses, desinfected them. However, as soon as the system was restarted immediately after the scan, viruses were there again.
The first malicious file i always see running is drsmartload. I dont see win32host.exe anymore but after i see drsmartload running other files like cmd.exe start running too and the whole system stops responding. Any suggestions.

Usually ewidos used to be installed until it would corrupt and i had to uninstall it. However, ive changed my OS and there seems to be no problem. Thanks a lot for your advice.

• AdAware - Another very powerful tool which searches and kills nasties that infect your system. AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy compliment each other very well.
  
• SpywareBlaster - Great prevention tool to keep nasties from installing on your system.
  
• SpywareGuard - Works as a Spyware "Shield" to protect your computer from getting malware in the first place.
  
• IE-SpyAd - puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.
  
• CleanUP! - Cleans temporary files from IE and Windows, empties the recycle bin and more. Great tool to help speed up your computer and knock out those nasties that like to reside in the temp folders.
