Hello drpepper23,

DESPITE THIS, MY MCAFEE STILL REMAINS DISABLED WHEN WINDOWS FIRST STARTS UP.

Does Mcafee start up when windows starts? And, is your subscription still good for it?

Hello drpepper23,

Please click Start>Run, in the box that opens please type this in msconfig. In the new window that opens please click the Startup tab and look thur the list and make sure there is nothing unchecked, if there is anything unchecked please let me know. And do the same for the Services tab.

Hello drpepper23,

I am not sure why it would not start up. You don't have the CD or anything to reinstall it?

Have you checked all of the settings in Mcafee and make sure everything is set to run when windows starts?

Hello drpepper23,

I am not sure why Mcafee is doing this, but I would like you to do this scan and see what it finds. If it does not show anything else then you will need to post over in another part of the forum where someone else should have some ideas. :)

Please download Runscanner to your desktop and run it.
  • When the first page comes up select Beginner Mode
  • On the next page select Save a binary .Run file (Recommended) then click Start full scan at the top.
  • At this time Runscanner.exe may request access to the Internet through your firewall please allow it to do so, it will then run for two or three minutes.
  • On completion it will ask for a location to save the file and a name. It will do this for both the .run file and the log file
  • Call the .run file "Select a name" and save it to your desktop. You will see the .run file on your desktop. Upload that file here.
