Hello Aztec077,

because I thought Comodo was making false positives with those rpcnetp.exe and rpcnetp.dll files, but, I'm not sure.

Some of those other scanner found something in those files as well, so it does not look like it was a false positive. But OTMoveIt3 shows that it was able to get rid of them. :)

How is your computer now?

It's back to how it was when I first posted here. Do you think I should uninstall Sunbelt and reinstall Comodo Firewall? Or maybe just run some of those tests once more? Whatever you say.

Hello Aztec077,

It's back to how it was when I first posted here.

Do you mean that it is still finding the rpcnetp.exe and rpcnetp.dll files?

No, but when I restart the PC, it runs through the setup screens and then gets locked with a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner and there it stays and all night, too. When I first experienced it and the cursor screen came out...I thought it might push through to the configuration startup and so I went to sleep that night, leaving it as is and when I woke up in the morning, it was still as I had left it.

When we ran all those tests throughout this Topic, the cursor screen wasn't coming up and it would just reboot like normal. After I uninstalled Comodo and installed Sunbelt, I get the cursor screen again, which, is alright, I guess, because if I Power off with the Power Button and than restart it fresh, it clears up the problem.

Still kind of a pain but not the end, I guess.

Also I'd like the uninstall any unnecessary programs and free up some disk space. Another goal of mine. But, if that's not your area of expertize, then I'll find another way.

I mean I've taken up so much of your time already, I really appreciate your diligence and perseverance.

I'll give you a sum of $$ at some point soon, you've helped me a lot and "theoretically" lol, at your own sacrifice.

Right before this started, did you install anything or change any settings?

Also I'd like the uninstall any unnecessary programs and free up some disk space.

Once we try to fix your "blinking cursor" problem, we can try to remove any unnecessary programs. :)

I really don't know, as you can tell I installed a lot of stuff (too much stuff) over the last year about. If I was going to attempt to pinpoint it, I'd say it probably started around the time I was broadcasting stuff, like movies (Justintv, Jmeeting, camstream, broadcaster, camfrog). I seem to remember it started right around then, although, I uninstalled a lot of that stuff (not all). I installed a lot of that stuff probably late summer this year or maybe at some points in the fall, just trying stuff out.

I still have Jmeeting, Camfrog, Justin.tv, but, the others I uninstalled. But I admit, this is just a rough memory, but, I wouldn't be surprised if all that (or some of it) was a big part of the problem.

I thought about reformatting my hard drive, I'm not sold on that quite yet. If I can just immunize as much as possible, might just solve the problem.

Any comment?

Hello Aztec077,
I am not sure why your computer does that, from what I can see it can be caused by a number of things. I recommend that once we are done here that you start a new topic over in the Vista forum, one of the techs there should be able to help you fix it. :)

Would you still like to clear some programs out?

Hello Aztec077,
From looking at your logs, I see that you have some PC games installed on your computer. They can take up quite a bit of space, so if you don't play any of those games you have installed, you could uninstall them and clear up some space. :)

You could also uninstall these two programs to clear up a little space.
Uniblue RegistryBooster 2009
LimeWire

Ok, i uninstalled Uniblue RegistryBooster 2009, LimeWire, System Tweaker and a few games I rarely play i.e. ZooKeeper 2, 2nd Manassas and a few nominal programs that I've been meaning to get rid of. And, it did translate into more free disk space. One question, does Register Booster and System Tweaker work. I was unsure about that when I purchased them, they appeared to work, but, it's been a gray area from day one. Really unsure even though it says they say they are Microsoft Certified.

Thanx for all your help, by the way, :) :)

Any other ideas about clearing up more disk space is welcome, although, there's a few programs and games that I love, but, any further ideas about uninstalling stuff, might be a good idea...albiet depending.

When my PayPal account fills up in like 2 or 3 days whatever, I'll see what can be done.

Thanx again Jimmy :)

Hello Aztec077,

does Register Booster and System Tweaker work.

Registry cleaners are not a good idea to run on your system, if they delete something wrong it can mess your computer up. Plus, cleaning the registry will not really help speed your computer up much. As far as System Tweaker goes, I have really never seen the program before, so I can't really say how it works. But from looking online a bit on it, it looks like it is fine.

Any other ideas about clearing up more disk space is welcome,

You could delete any unwanted photos, movies and music you have on the computer.
