Hello
All was fine until the TV signals were changed in the UK to allow people who had not got Channel 5 to be able to receive it. We were asked to retune our digiboxes and televisions. I have connected the Pinnacle Nanostick 73e up to the main TV aerial (which is working OK on the main house television). I can't get anything when I try and do a channel scan. I have been in touch with Pinnacle who suggested that I install the most up to date software which I did. I still can't do a channel scan however, the scan goes through all the available channels but doesn't find either radio or TV channels. The strange thing is that when I start the TV application I get 'Device not available' with a circular thing moving round the middle of the message. If the device is not available to start with is this why I can't do a successful channel scan. The drivers for the TV card were installed the same time as the TV software was installed according to the readme. Could it be a faulty USB port although the others are working fine? Does anyone have any answers please? I've been pulling my hair out over the last two weeks trying to solve this.
Many thanks

I have very little experience with TV tuners, but it very well could be a bad port or some incompatible software. Am i correct in assuming that this is a USB device?

Hi aw56001 and welcome to Geeks to Go.

Did this work prior to the channel upgrade? I am assuming it did.
You question the USB port. Did you try another USB port?
Are you using the bundled software that came with it? I ask because the reviews I read say it is bloated and prone to lockups.

The USB nanostick should show up in device manager under sound, video and game controllers. There should be no warnings.
Go to start...run...type in devmgmt.msc and look to see if it is there.

Have you rebooted the computer to see if it recognizes any new hardware?

Many thanks to everyone who replied.
I have tried everything that I know and what has been suggested here with no luck. After messing with this device for about a month now I have decided to discard the Pinnacle device because it is giving me too much stress and have bought a Kworld device but have yet to install it because when I opened the box there wasn't a USB cable inside so it will be returned.
Many thanks
