I have downloaded the last 2 video drivers from Dell, R156746 & R168685, they install but the Video Controller in Device Manager shows a problem and the video adapter does not show in properties. Can you help please? Thanks

When you download drivers from dell, you are actually downloading compressed exe files. When you double-click on a downloaded file, it may or may not actually run the installation after it extracts. Just by the numbers of the drivers you posted, I can guarantee the drivers you downloaded were extracted to a folder on your C drive.

You need to go to the folder that was created when the driver extracted and look for the "setup" .exe. Once you find the setup, double-click on it and the driver should install. The folders should be at these locations... C:\dell\drivers\R156746... and... C:\dell\drivers\R168685

I finally got the older driver to actually load and it is working correctly now. Thanks for all your help, you guys are lifesavers. Cheers
