When you download drivers from dell, you are actually downloading compressed exe files. When you double-click on a downloaded file, it may or may not actually run the installation after it extracts. Just by the numbers of the drivers you posted, I can guarantee the drivers you downloaded were extracted to a folder on your C drive.
You need to go to the folder that was created when the driver extracted and look for the "setup" .exe. Once you find the setup, double-click on it and the driver should install. The folders should be at these locations... C:\dell\drivers\R156746... and... C:\dell\drivers\R168685

I finally got the older driver to actually load and it is working correctly now. Thanks for all your help, you guys are lifesavers. Cheers
