Hi all. I'm new to the site. I'm having trouble with the link to download TDSSKiller. I actually can't get to the Kaspersky site at all. Any ideas?

can you download it with a different browser, like Firefox or Opera
or
can you use another PC to download it, then transfer it to the infected machine via a USB key

How essential is it to run TFC?
I don't have administrator rights, so I'm not going to try to run it.
Is it safe to log into email/facebook/internet radio with a google redirect virus?

The only essential part is running TDSSKiller
You can skip TFC if needs be.
It would be better to run this fix before logging into any sites like that

let me know if this fixes system restore
Download OTL to your Desktop
Reboot and check if system restore is working
Download OTL to your Desktop
- Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
- Under the Custom Scan box paste this in
CREATERESTOREPOINT
- Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
Reboot and check if system restore is working

that looks fine
have you pressed a key to continue, and reboot when its done. The redirects should hopefully be gone by then
