Oh, that dotted line. It's already been moved. Do you see the Icon next to the Start button, "Show Desktop", well the reason why you see that is because I've already moved those dotted lines.

You know, I even tried changing the Desktop Theme from XP to Windows Classic, which on my last PC which was a Compaq Persario, you could move the Taskbar up and down at will, but not with this one. It just a budging. There has to be some way to correct this.

I was thinking this. I know you know rshaffer61. I would love to get his attention, but I would have to PM him and that's against the Rules. So I was wondering if you could speak with him to see if he could help, that's only if you and I can't get this corrected.

Thank U !!! :)

OK I have just switched over to my Vista system as that is a bit more like XP

The problem is still that the quicklaunch is too big - on your second screenshot it is still on the bottom line

Lets try to reset the quick launch - first untick the quick launch toolbar
Then using the double arrow reset your toolbar to the correct height
Renable the quick launch
Does it go back to double height ?

I unchecked Quick Launch and the Taskbar went back to NORMAL, single line right, but if I check Quick Launch again, the Taskbar becomes double again. So the problem is with Quick Launch as you saw on the SNAPSHOT. If you or someone else can come up with something, please let me know, otherwise, I'm done.

Other than that Essexboy, I don't see anything else wrong with the System. Is there anything else you need me to do from this point.

Essexboy:

I'm going offline for a couple of hours, letting you know just in case looking for any responses immediately. If you post anything, I will answer when back online.

Sorry got distracted by a cup of tea and a bit of cake :)

OK go to this page and we will set the toolbar back to defaults

Under the taskbar heading select this :: Restore to XP Default * (clickable) this will download a small VBS programme to reset all the relevant registry entries

Let me know if that fixes it - Failing that I will ask Ron ( He cannot post in this thread)

That was a VBS file so windows should have no problems running it :)

Unzip the programme and run
From the top drop down select Restore to XP Default

Let me know if that works
