I'm worried my PC might be infected because the fan is always running at loud speed when it is locked. Is there anyway to make sure it is not a malware that is using my CPU when locked to mine bitcoin etc.? The fan is super quiet when unlocked and CPU usage comes down to 0. I'm using Windows 11 Home. Would love to figure out what process is using my CPU so much when locked.

The following in no way intended as any kind of malware removal assistance and is from a tech perspective only.

Couple of things regarding your OP;

Is there anyway to make sure it is not a malware that is using my CPU when locked to mine bitcoin etc.?

Pinned right above where you created your topic Attention! Read Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide before posting.

Mining bitcoin fully loads the hardware so what you describe is to be expected, not sure what you mean by the CPU being locked so you may want to explain that as well.
