With the Firewalls Off, the IP's set, the above changes, the Ping being successful, I still can't get into the other's files from either computer. I double-checked settings, tried various troubleshooters, etc. and think I should just give up, unless you have some other great idea. Not sure what changed since it seemed to be partially working, and I can't seem to find it.

 

Maybe when I get more free time, I can review this thread and start over, going through all the steps at once to find where any problems are, if I've made any (or missed/undid something). I currently have some new paperwork I need to get to, and have been putting off, partly because of this.

 

I appreciate the help, but am just running out of time and energy.

 

Think I need to remove the space key to find out ifthere's some dust under it that compressed air doesn't blow out.

Something was wrong with my system and it showed no results when I hit Reply, but apparently did post...multiple times. Please delete these last two.
