Hello,

I recently got a new gaming desktop that runs 64-bit windows ultimate. It has a 3.3ghz x6 amd processor, 8gb ddr, and a AMD Radeon 6970 2gb. I think those would be the most important specs in order to come up with a resolution.

Ok, here's my problem. When ever I try to play Call of Duty: MW2 Multiplayer (it runs single player just fine) it shows the cover picture for about a second and then the screen turns black like the game is coming up. Instead of loading the game, all that happens is the resolution turns to 800x400 and a mouse pointer appears in the middle of the screen. I have to alt-tab-del > task manager in order to close out of it. Here's something interesting that I noticed when viewing the process in task manager. It shows the process as, "iw4mp.exe *32" I'm not sure, but i think maybe the *32 indicates 32-bit? As if it's a 32-bit game and could have a problem with my 64-bit os? I don't know, just an observation. By the way, it shows the game as "Not responding" when i go to task manager and it never loads, i left it on that black screen for like 10mins once.

Anyway, if anyone has any advice, tips, or needs additional info, I'll be checking this thread.

Thanks,
Brosky

Well, its been a few days and no one has addressed my issue. I tried playing it on my old laptop that runs vista and it works well. Its just i would rather play it on my new computer.
