It should work with no issues. One thing with USB devices and drivers though is that you have to install the drivers and then once rebooted you connect the device up. Do not have the device plugged in before drivers are installed as normally the installation of drivers will fail.

:)

Hi, rshaffer61. I think something's wrong again. I tried to install the drivers, and I'm getting the same error message as before. And this is without anything plugged in at all. What's wrong now? Have you any idea?

OK lets try a different driver then. Please go HERE and get the driver named Printer Driver 5.5aA
Let me know if that works correctly then.

I've downloaded that exact same driver five times already. No effect whatsoever.
This is now a hopeless case, isn't it?

Hmm strange. So you have tried with the drivers cd that came with the printer and downloaded the file with the same results?
Lets check something real quick.
Lets see what you have in your startup

Please click on
Start and then to Run
Type in msconfig and press Enter
Now click on Startups
Then look for anything that says Epson on it and let me know.

There is an entry for Epson Stylus C88 Series in this menu. Where do I go from here?

OK that tells me the driver is already there so now let's see if we can uninstall it through Add\Remove programs

Bad news, Chief. Epson does not appear in the Add / Remove Programs list. Is there an alternate means of uninstalling it?

Then uncheck it in the Msconfig Startups and then reboot.
Try your installation then and see what happens.

OK then we need to consider the possibility your optical drive may be the issue then since the same installation disk worked on another system.

Do you have access to another optical drive you could put in the system temporarily to see if it will install then?
