Please enable all items except those listed under Startup tab. Then by enabling single item under Startup tab you can test what programs are slowing down your computer.

ok so have used my main computer for about a day, and is seeming to be ok - there are still a few leftover problems - can't get microsoft update to work, as it says that files to update have been registered/reinstalled etc - so should i just do this?
