I am getting an error message(RUN DLL) every time I start my computer. I installed highjackthis but i do not know what to check. Please help!

Well I have been here for a while now and it seems as though no one is willing to help. I am recieving an error message every time I start my computer....something along the lines as RUN DLL, cannot find wild tangent folder????????
I was told to install "highjackthis," paste my log here and wait for you guys to review it. Once that was complete you guys woul let me know what I should delete in order to fix my problem. I understand that you may be busy, however my problem has been posted for some time now and I have seen new users paste their problem, get answered, and go.
Please help. Thank you.

Hi october,

Sorry about the delay in getting to your post, but we have as you have stated been very busy. With regards to seeing other topics been answered before yours, some of our helpers are in training and pick easier topics, others specialise more in certain infections and subsequently pick those infections, others select new infections to work out fixes for them.

Iam now onto your case, so hopefully we can get this cleared up quickly.

As it has been some time since you posted your HJT log, could you please post a new one to work off, as a lot can change over a short period of time.

Firstly please create a new folder on your C drive (for example C\HJT). Install HJT into that folder and run it from there. That way it can create backups if required.

Please read these instructions carefully and print them out! Be sure to follow ALL instructions!

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please download Cleanup from here:
Cleanup. Do not run it yet.

Set up PC to show hidden files.(Click link if you do not know how)
Show hidden files

Run this online virus scan: ActiveScan - Save the results from the scan!
Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. This may take some time, so go grab a coffee. Once it finds the first issue tick the box for all. Post the log from the scan here for me.

Make sure all programs and windows are closed. Run HiJackThis and place a check next to the following items, if found, then click FIX CHECKED

Now using windows explorer locate and delete the following files

C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cda Engine 0400.dll

Reboot pc normally, rescan with HJT and post all the requested logs back

Do you still get error message on startup?
