Just for some clarification, are able to access the task manager or any other programs still as you said when you first posted?

That's progress then.

Are you able to run any other programs? Also, if you right-click the desktop can you change the background?

maybe, I should reinstall Windows xp. Maybe is easier way to solve this problem.
