Unfortunately not, as previously advised programs cannot be retained when installing Windows 7 on a machine running XP, photos, videos and music etc can be by using the migration wizard tool but any third party programs have to be installed once Windows 7 is up and running and has been updated etc.
If you had the Office 2007 product key you would have been able to download the software from Microsoft here and reinstall it, you mentioned in your reply #13 that your boyfriend gave you the computer for work, have you asked him if he has the original disk and product key sticker or even just the product key itself.
