Okay. Thank you for explaining that to me.

Slow booting? Slow opening programs? Slow going on line? Slow changing websites?
Yes.
Try HD Tune again See if you still have a smooth curve.
Do you have a link for that. I don't see it here?
Sorry, thought we had already run HD tune. I don't really like the big drop in yours and the speed is low. Sometimes running defrag will help Close all programs. Pause your anti-virus. Open Computer and right click on the C: drive then Properties then Tools, Defragment Now, Make sure the C:\ drive is select and Defragment Disk. Don't touch the PC until it is done. Once it completes. run HD Tune again.
Okay. Thank you! Will do now.
I defraged and rebooted and it wouldn't start up. Never made it to the desktop. I tried twice then repaired in safe mode... still would not go back to desk top and finally I had to go back to Last known good config. what is wrong with this PC. Can it be the processor?
Either memory or hard drive problem. Based on the big drop we saw with HD Tune I'd say your hard drive is dying. Get Seatools for Windows.

Run the Long Generic test:

See if it passes.
Okay. Thank you!
