Looks like you may need a new keypad. What about the other option that was mentioned, we don`t know what OS you are running so see info @  How to use the Windows on screen keyboard Go to the full post »

Hello, Im facing a weird recurring issue with my QWERTY laptop where 6 of the keys in the top row (E, R, U, I, O, and P) stop working erratically. Sometimes E and R are the only ones that work, sometimes none of the list work, and sometimes all of them do.

Ive determined that its not an apparent software issue (the keys are not being detected as pressed from the boot screen), and Ive cleaned on and underneath the keys safely & thoroughly.

The issue appeared a few months back but thankfully disappeared with no clear reason. Now its back in full force.

What is the likely cause of this issue, and how do I resolve it?

Welcome to GtG.

Have you tried connecting a USB keyboard to the notebook to see if the issue happens with that.

What about the onscreen keyboard, have you give that a go.

No issues with using an external keyboard connected through Bluetooth.
