Hi! I was wondering what happened to you. Since the forum doesn't send emails when a new reply is posted, I assumed that was the reason.

Anyway, get well soon, you and your family. I'll be here when you are ready to return.

Ok, I feel like poopy kaka but I got just a small burst of energy to try to type this up for you!!!

The refresh went just fine, no problems had.

I'll attach the logs, but the computer is still doing the same stuff. I wrote a couple of notes as I used it over the last couple of days.

System Interrupts is causing 100% CPU usage on start of the machine.  Then Disk in the task manager ( all this through the task manager) goes to 100% with nothing listed to add up to 100%.  It is still crashing if I try to watch a movie.  You can't do anything on it without it crashing after a time.  It's very annoying.  Lastly, do I have any viral protection on this machine as it is?

I'll attach the fresh logs.

Thanks so much for your kindness and patience.

I hope you feel much better soon!

The computer is clean.

The following will check disk's health.

Check disk

  • Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt.
  • When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
  • Enter the command below and press on Enter and wait for it to finish (~15 minutes).
       chkdsk C: /r

  • You will receive a message that the operation cannot be performed while the system is in use and ask if you want to check when you restart your computer. Choose Yes, and then restart the computer, allowing disk check to run at startup.
  • The process will take some time, depending on the disk condition.
  • Download ListChkdskResult by SleepyDude and save it on your Desktop.
  • Double click on the created icon.
  • A notepad file will open. Copy its content and paste it in your next reply.

Do you think I might have to go to another forum?  Every time I open the task manger either CPU or disk is at 100%.  It then immediately drops as I watch it.  This computer should run strong.  It has 12 gig of Ram and an 4.3 GHZ of processing power.  It's like something is using the power but isn't listed. I appreciate all your help and I will continue to follow your directions if you think you can help!!!  Thank you so much for everything you've already done and what we will continue to work together!

Hi, d.brack.

You are very welcome.

Your disk is fine. As to the following:

Yes. This is what I would tell you now. The computer is clean, system files are fine, and the disk is also fine.

I recommend you to open a new topic at the Hardware Forum here: https://www.geekstog...nd-peripherals/

Let them know that the computer is clean and also include a link to this topic. Hopefully, someone will assist you there and help you to resolve this issue. Let me know when you are going to open the topic, so I will follow it.
