Hiya,
I am 73 and have used iTunes for many years to download music, although I have not used it much recently due to health problems.
This morning, I bought a couple of tracks and the purchase went through okay. Then I tried to buy Coldplay's new album (yes, I know I am old - but I love Coldplay! ). I went into the album page and clicked to buy the album as usual. The purchase seemed to go through okay, but I cannot find the album anywhere on my computer and it is not shown as a recent purchase along with the two tracks I bought before.
On the album page in the iTunes store, it does say 'purchased' alongside each track. There is however a red button on the top right of the page inviting me to 'Start Your Trial' and if I try clicking on that is trying to get me to sign up for Apple Music which is £10.99 a month after the first free month. I do not want that - I just want to play the album in iTunes as usual! If I had known this was going to happen, I would have just purchased a CD from Amazon instead.
I guess I am just out of touch these days! Please can anyone explain what is going on?
Thank you.
UPDATE I solved the problem! For some reason, the album had downloaded to another music folder on Drive C, whereas it usually all goes to Drive D. I have transferred the files to the correct location now, so all is well. I was stupidly trying to over-complicate the problem! Sorry to have bothered you guys.
Chris.
