Running windows 10  64.  The printer is hardwired to the computer.

Printer was working perfectly, then just stopped printing.  The unit can still scan, send the scanned doc to my computer and can make copies.

I tried printing from the web, MS Word and WordPerfect with no results.

1.  I checked that the 3820 was the default printer

2.  When I send something to the printer I get from:  Epson Status Monitor 3   the  following error message:  "Run Printer Connection Checker"

3.  The checker reports:  Could not resolve the problem with the Epson Printer Connection Tool

I clicked on the box for a Wired LAN connection:  It asked me   "Is the computer turne on?"    YES IT IS

Are cables firmly attached  YES THEY ARE and Is there anything not normal.    ALL APPEARS NORMAL.  i ALSO USED A SECOND CABLE -- Same result.

4.  The print queue shows the document I tried printing ans says in the Status column:  Error -- Printing

I tried reinstallng the printer and I downloaded a Windows 10 64bit driver from the Epson homepage.   I also deleted the printer spool   Still the same result.

Please   HELP

Hi

I assume since it has been so long you no longer need help?

Or are you still having problems?

Yes, the Epson still is not working.  I obtained an old HP OfficeJet Pro 8032 and it is working.  I'd like to get the Epson working if possible.

Are you able to plug the printer into your modem/router for testing.

If yes connect to the modem and print a network report and attach.

Nothing in the report can be used to hack your system.

  1. Connect one end of an Ethernet network cable to the product's LAN port.
  2. Connect the other end to any available LAN port on your router or access point.
  3. Uninstall your product software.
  4. Download and install your product software from the Epson website.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
  6. When you see the Select Your Connection screen, select Wired network connection.
  7. If you see a Select Setup Option screen, select Set up printer for the first time.
  8. Continue following the rest of the on-screen instructions.

  1. Press the home_icon_wfc869r.jpg home button, if necessary.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select General Settings. You see a screen like this:

    lcd_general_settings_wf3720_wf4730.jpg
  4. Select Network Settings.
  5. Select Network Status.
  6. Select Print Status Sheet.
  7. Select Print.
