Why is there graphical corruption, missing objects, strange colors or a blank screen when launching the game?
Question
Why is there graphical corruption, missing objects, strange colors or a blank screen when launching the game?
Answer
The first thing to check is to ensure that the computer has a supported 64 MB video card with full DirectX 8.1 Support. The game is extremely demanding and currently only the following cards are supported:
Supported video cards:
ATI Radeon series (8500 or better)
8500.
9000, 9200, 9500, 9600, 9700, 9800.
X300, X600, X800.
NVIDIA GeForce series (GeForce 3 or better)
GeForce 3, Ti 200
GeForce 4 Ti.
GeForce FX 5200, 5600, 5700, 5800, 5900.
GeForce 6600, 6800.
Please note that the GeForce4 MX series of video cards are not supported.
If the computer does not have one of these types of video cards it will be unable to run properly.
To find out what type of video card you have:
Go to Start and select Run and type dxdiag and press Ok.
Along the top of the tool click on the tab that says Display.
On the left side near the top it will state the name.
Also note the Aprox. Total Memory a couple lines below the name.
After ensuring that the game minimum requirements are met, make sure that the latest drivers are installed for the video card. Check the card manufacturer's web site for any updates and follow any directions that they may provide.
what are your system specs?

Im having an issue with Pacific Assault. I have installed all 4 disks just fine. When I go to play the game, it says to install the proper disk. I have double checked to make sure that I have disk 1 loaded up. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled several times and to each attempt resulting in the same thing. Any help you can offer?

Hey, i need some help here. i have bought and downloaded Medal Of Honor Pacific Assault. But when i click on the icon to enter the game, a message pops up that says "medal of honor pacific assault requires a video card that fully supports directX 8.1 and that the video card in my system does not support directX 8.1" then it gives me a list of video cards that were tested under windows 2000 and windows hp, "ati radeon 8500, 9000, 9200, 9700, 9800. ati radeon x300, x600, x600 and x800." and a few more. I have a hp pavilion mx704 that I have had for about 1 year. My brother says that there are some requirements that my computer dosent qualify for. if anyone has anything that would help me to understand why its not working, or how i could make it work, I would be grateful. please respond as soon as possible.

The Intel 82865G graphics card you are trying to use doesn't support hardware T&L. Hardware T&L is required by the game so it will not run it. If this is a desktop PC then you may be able to upgrade to a card that can run it, if it's a laptop then you're out of luck i'm afraid.

I'm going to need the full SysSpec log file or the make/model of the desktop to be able to help you. Basically I want to know what motherboard you have and if I know this I can better advise you on what graphics card you need.
