Battlefield Vietnam 1.2 Patch PROBLEM

when I go to install the 1.2 patch, (it doesn't give me a choice for waht directory to put it in) it starts installing then says "Setup could not find a Battlefield Vietnam Installation"

The game is obviously installed i just played single player, it also happened with the 1.21 server patch. it says that same thing..please help!

Reinstall vietnam then if that don't work get the patch from a different location.
