Hello...

I am new here, but having a serious problem with IMVU, Internet Explorer, and Firefox... As well as being able to download anything on to my pc. I have been an IMVU member (its an IM site) for three months now. And lately, i have been noticing that my Internet Explorer is acting REALLY werid, as well as Firefox... They both load up werid, or shut off on their own. The other day, Firefox opened up on its own with out me clicking on it. You are probably wondering what this has to do with IMVU right?...

Well, Firefox opened onto an instant google search to IMVU!!!!! I didn't do it... Then when I try to edit my homepage, internet explorer doesn't want to load... it takes way to slow. And jumbles up everything... then crashes. With IMVU, you are suppose to download the chat (IM) programme and/or the developers programme... I downloaded both. And it takes up alot of CPU...

On top of that... for the passed month I can't DOWNLOAD ANYTHING... A werid Application report comes up about an I/O problem... (?)

So... you ask... why not get rid of IMVU?

Well... I Tried... Really. I deleted its icon, I went into my windows programmer and THOUGHT I deleted the programme. Well the previewer wont come off my PC. And apparently I still have 389 files for IMVU. Some of which are .EXE.

Norton Is REALLY Sucking Right now... i don't know why it doesn't locate anything...

I Really want some feedback... my page in the firefox brower is all scrambled and werid.... every one elses page looks fine... Internet Explorer is continously acting up.... I am loosing my mind here.

(P.s. IMVU also claims that they are not spyware. But I have had a bombbarment of cookies and cache)

the proper method of uninstalling software is through the add/remove programs section in control pannel...did you uninstall the program that way? if not see if you can....since you deleted some things already...you may need to reinstall imvu to accomplish this

Yeah I uninstalled the programme through Add/Remove, but it is stilll on my pc... Is there another way to remove the programme?

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the
START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own.
If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum.
If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
